Shotblasting

A concrete cleaning process that involves equipment that propels a large number of small steel B-B’s onto the concrete effectively chipping the concrete surface. The B-B’s are recycled into the equipment and used continuously throughout the process. A "sand paper" profile is the finished effect.  Procedure is 99% dust free.

A concrete cleaning process that uses a machine that has a diamond disk on the bottom and spins much like a floor polisher. A "smooth" profile is the finished effect.  Procedure is 96% dust free.

Scarifying

A concrete cleaning/removal process. It operates by rotating - at high revolutions - a steal drum with a number of small shafts. Each shaft holds cutters (usually carbide or steel) that rotate loosely on the shafts and "chip" away at the concrete as they rotate around the drum. The scarifying method is best used to remove concrete fast and aggressively. A "very rough" profile is the finished effect.  Procedure is 95% dust free.
